Thanks to the generous gift from PTO, Gesher received a mobile cart of 20 iPads in June of 2012 devoted to the use by teachers in the Elementary School classrooms. Please check out this link to read our ongoing Gesher's iPad Blog!
about the implementation of Gesher's iPad program.
This site can also be used as a source of information for instructional use of iPads in the classroom. Pages have been created to organize the content, and we welcome additions, feedback, and ideas by all participants of the program.
If you have any basic questions on using the iPad, please visit the "Troubleshooting your iPad" page for instructions, directions, common Q & A.
I have started a list of Apps that I recommend you try over the summer. It would be great for you all to add to this list on the "Recommended Apps" page of this wiki. Please visit this page often for ideas to try on your iPad this summer.
While using your iPad this summer, you may think of some GREAT lesson ideas for your students. Please be sure to share these ideas in the GS (General Studies) and JS (Jewish Studies) pages.
I have also created a "Summer Discussion" page. I figured this would be a great opportunity to provide feedback, support, etc. to each other over the summer.
Finally, I have included a "iPads in Education" page that will include articles, wikis/blogs from other schools' iPad programs, and any other research to assist you in this new adventure. Please feel free to add as you find similar information.
